From Chicago to Paso....
Chris, a long time wine collector with a deep appreciation for Paso Robles, spent nearly 15 years visiting and getting to know this exceptional region. Along the way forging many lasting friendships with local winemakers. It was during this time that he and Nicole fell in love with the area. In 2020, they decided to make it their home, leaving behind Chicago and embarking on their California wine country dream with their two young children in tow.
With the support of incredible friends and a welcoming community, they crafted their first vintage of Nix Cellars in 2021, marking the beginning of their winemaking journey. In 2022, they found and acquired their estate vineyard which they now call home. Farmed organically and planted with Bordeaux varietals, it didn’t take long for them to fall in love with the site and its promise. Their inaugural estate vintage, harvested in 2023, will be bottled in the spring of 2025, and they can't wait to share it with you.
